miles recorded the soundtrack on the fly while watching the movie on a projector. this was his first film soundtrack by miles davis.

Jeanne Monreau’s devastating performance as she wanders the streets of Paris, matched with the sadness that moans from Miles lonely trumpet, first time director Louis Malle’s instincts and the eye of Henri Decae would create something groundbreaking.
